Before and After

This is a great contrast between before and after in a renovation in upstate New York (from Country Living). The magazines don't seem to show the before shots much anymore, probably because they look so unattractive!
Anyway, I do love a before shot. I can relate...

  2. 'Before and afters' are my absolute favourite - and this one is great. I really admire the vision and patience (!) required to pull off a renovation like this. As someone who is in the last throes of designing our new house, patience is my mantra at the moment!

  4. You can just about feel the pain these people went through to turn this little beauty around. Patience is a virtue, yes, but I would call it perseverance and stamina in this case!

  7. Yes, I can relate too. I love seeing before and afters. I also love looking back at our photos of our place. It makes me feel a real sense of achievement. The house above is amazing - so beautiful!

  8. That After shot of the outside has always been my dream home! gorgeous! What an incredible transformation - so nice to see beauties being restored to their grandeur instead of plowed down and replaced with something new and much less charming. :)
