I'm noticing various shades of violet popping up here and there. It's a tricky colour to decorate with but always looks fresh when mixed with green or metal.
These examples are from the new Bloomingville range and a purple paneled room via Plush Palate.
Beautiful colour!!!
ReplyDeletePurple was my color in junior high. Alas, a serial murderer was getting young girls, all wearing purple.
ReplyDeleteMy parents said I couldn't wear purple. One morning I awoke to a pile of cut-up purple clothing in the living room.
One dress I can still see as if it were yesterday. It was the color of the wall in your last pic.
Purple thoughts, about purple.
Now I like my purples more Aubergine........eggplant.

I could live very easily with the first 3 photos ... very soft but makes a lovely accent. The bottom photo might take a little bit more time to be comfortable with. Thanks for keeping us up on trend.
ReplyDeleteI inherited a purple color plan when my husband and I moved into a different house a few years ago. I thought I couldn't live with it but I made it my own and toned it down a bit. I now am very happy with it and wish it was more vibrant..but, alas, my husband has no desire to change it (just like a man) and I am not up to the challenge either..so I will enjoy it just as it is! Love your blog
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who LOVES purple and I shall be sure to pass your post on to her :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing how the colour purple just 'pops'
ReplyDeleteI love those royal purple walls, but you'd need a royal scale room to go with them.
ReplyDeleteWhere is that small white table from? thanks,
ReplyDeleteLOVING this colour!! Adore the cushion and the chair in shot #1 but it's the crocheted cushion in shot #2 that has captured my heart!! Pruxxx
