When I think of shutters I think of France. These traditional style shutters I photographed on the Ile de Re, which is just off the west coast. I love the pale colours, a palette that is prescribed by the local government.
Great post - I cannot imagine living in a house that does not have them - not only do they look great but they are so practical as they keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter and also keep it nice and secure.
Lourve your blog. thanks for sharing the OH SO INSPIRING. We're about to embark on a massive reno - our farm house. Let me just say that the exterior is currently pink. Umm, and the interior walls are faux wood panelling. I think we're biting off a bit more than we can chew!
Oh, lovely! I can think of lots of projects I could use these shutters for, too, they would make a fabulous headboard, or a room divider! Love your little world, happy to find you and happy to be your newest follower! Cheers!
Oh! These are magnificent photos, I love France, the colors, shutters~~all of it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, but look at that great furniture out the front in the first pic. Must get to France very soon!
