Shutters in France

When I think of shutters I think of France. These traditional style shutters I photographed on the Ile de Re, which is just off the west coast. I love the pale colours, a palette that is prescribed by the local government.

  4. Great post - I cannot imagine living in a house that does not have them - not only do they look great but they are so practical as they keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter and also keep it nice and secure.

Bon week-end from a kiwi in SW France x

thanks for sharing the OH SO INSPIRING.
We're about to embark on a massive reno - our farm house.
Let me just say that the exterior is currently pink. Umm, and the interior walls are faux wood panelling.
I think we're biting off a bit more than we can chew!

  9. I love shutters. France is just made for them. I wanted them for the Fibro, but, you know, it wasn't really right. Next house...
